Many thanks for these proposals. We have now been able to consult Mr Goodlad by telephoning him during his holiday.
2. Mr Goodlad agreed that the broad theme of science and technology is a good one. Of the alternatives in the draft programme, he would prefer for the Monday morning to visit the telecommunications facilities. For the Tuesday afternoon, he would prefer to visit the Community English Language Laboratory. We are separately trying to arrange, as Mr Day has suggested, for a donation of computer equipment under the AUS Programme Budget
Scheme for this laboratory. On other points:
- Mr Goodlad would like to have a separate meeting with Mr Day. This could be in place of the visit to the Telephone Exchange or
the Science Museum, both on the Monday.
