Mr Goodlad's Visit to Hong Kong

The Secretary of State was grateful for your Minister's minute of 1 June. He thinks that the Prime Minister should see the summary and I have sent it to Number 10.

The Secretary of State would like to discuss soon the timing of his visit to Hong Kong: he is keen to keep in close touch. He would also like to discuss this week how to brief the Prime Minister for his meeting with Li Peng on the question of airport financing. Heather Drysdale will be in touch.
