VISIT BY MINISTER FOR TRADE TO HONG KONG: 23-26 JULY 1992

Mr Richard Needham will be visiting Hong Kong from 23-26 July 1992 en route to China. A final programme has not yet been agreed but the general aim will be to give the Minister a good feel for the current trading and investment climate in the territory including the position on major projects as well as providing an opportunity to meet key personalities in the Government and the business community. (It is expected that, inter alia, the programme will include a visit to Castle Peak and meeting with PAA.)

I would be grateful if copy recipients would put in hand briefing for the visit in the usual way (see attached annex for details of briefs required):
