Dear Minister of state.

My OMELCO colleagues and I look forward to meeting you again on 2 March and we are delighted you can join us for dinner afterwards.
There are a number of topics which Members will wish to raise at the meeting, and as agreed, I would give you prior notice of those topics so that you will be in a better position to give us a considered response.
These are :
1) The change of Governor.
2) There was an FCO announcement welcoming China's
appointment of Hong Kong advisers. Can we be enlightened on the objectives and role of these proposed advisers?
3) Progress on solving the problem of Vietnamese
migrants.
4) Progress on topics raised at the last meeting with
you, including the processing of applications under the British Nationality Scheme, direct elections in 1995 and Court of Final Appeal etc. For ease of reference, I enclose a list of items raised at the last meeting held on 6 December 1991.
With kind regards,
Jan
Sincendy.
