(b) INTERNATIONAL AGREMENTS COVERED.-Sub

4 section (a) applies to any treaty or other internationa

5 agreement, including any multilateral convention, entered

6 into between the United States and Hong Kong before

7 June 30, 1997, or entered into between the United States

8 and the United Kingdom and applied to Hong Kong be-

9 fore such date.

10 (c) CONTENTS OF REPORT.Any report submitted

11 under subsection (a) shall include a statement of the rea-

12 sons for the President's determination under that sub-

13 section.

14 SEC. 303. SEPARATE PART OF COL NTRY REPORTS.

Whenever a report is transmitted to the Congress on

16 a country-by-country basis there shall be incuded in such

17 report, where applicable, a separate subreport on Hong

18 Kong under the heading of the state hat exercises sov-

19 ereignty over Hong Kong. Such reports include, but are

20 not limited to, reports transmitter. under-

(1) sections 116(d) and 502B(b) of the Foreign

Assistance Act of 1961 (relating to human rights);

(2) section 181 of the Trade Act of 1974 (relat-

ing to trade barriers).
