holds that: The defendant, Zeng Yuming

in defiance of the laws of the state, participating in the

enemy spy organization, collecting and providing political, economic and

military intelligence for the enemy spy organization, has committed the

crime of espionage. To safeguard national security and to crack down on

espionage sabotage, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 97, 52,

51 and 60 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, the

Collegiate Bench deliberated the case OR 4.4.1990 and arrived at

at the

following judgment :

I. The defendant, Zeng Yuming (TSANG Yuk-ming), is guilty of

espionage and sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment.

He shall be deprived of political right for five years

(the term of imprisonment shall begin on the execution

date of the judgment, and one day is to be deducted from

the sentence for each day of detention before executing

the judgment, i.e., the term of imprisonment is from

2.12.1989 to 1.12.2004);

II.

The exhibits transferred with the case, namely RMB ¥216.8,

HK$981.7, a Sharp radio-cassette and a watch, shall be

confiscated according to law and be turned over to the

State Treasury by this court.
