28.

Thank you for your letter of 28 February to the Prime Minister. I have been asked to reply.

The Prime Minister was very interested to hear about Mr. Lau Shan-Ching's visit. He hopes you will understand that, because of the General Election campaign, it is not possible for him to see Mr. Lau.

If you or Mr. Lau would find it helpful to have a talk with me, I should be very happy to see you and would of course pass on what you say to the Prime Minister. If you would like to follow this up, perhaps you could call me at No.10 on 071-930 4433.

Mr. Stephen Ng
