Who will pay the salaries of the two personal advisers?
Subject to the completion of normal procedures in Hong Kong, the salaries are expected to be paid by the Hong Kong Government.
What else has Mr Llewellyn done?
Edward Llewellyn, 26, was educated at Eton and New College, Oxford. He joined the Conservative Research Department in July 1988 as desk officer for European Affairs, becoming Head of the Foreign Affairs Section in September 1989. During the General Election campaign he accompanied the Prime Minister, briefing him daily on the campaign trail. Mr Patten has known him for two years and they worked closely together during that time.
Terms/Length of appointment?
Standard short term contract for expatriate Hong Kong Government employees (about 21⁄2 years).
When will Dinham and Llewellyn arrive in Hong Kong?
