31st July 1992

Dear Ms Connery

I understand from my colleague at the Scout Association that newly appointed Governors of British Dependent Territories are put in touch with the Scout Association before taking up their appointment.

It is our usual practice to invite wives of Governors to be President of the Girl Guides Association in these countries, and it would be a great help if, where possible, we could be in contact with them before they leave the UK.

Would it be possible for our name to be included in any lists you may circulate to newly appointed Governors and their wives? I realise that they may not always have time to visit our Headquarters, but it would at least give us the opportunity to provide them with up to date literature and information about the Girl Guide Association.

Yours sincerely

Rosering Mills
