We discussed the draft contract for Mr Dinham's secondment to Hong Kong. We are content with the provisions in the draft in so far as they relate to the ODA, with minor amendments as follows on the repayments to be made by the Hong Kong Government.

The pension contribution payable is 17 per cent of UK salary.

No employer's contribution is required from the Hong Kong Government (and none levied on the ODA). Mr Dinham has been sent the forms to pay direct the employee's contribution (£273 pa). I suggest therefore the

references to National Insurance contribution be deleted.

Could you please let us have a copy of the final document issued to Mr Dinham.
