LEADING HONGKONG FAR-SIGHTEDLY INTO A BRIGHT NEW CENTURY.

The following are priorities on Hong Kong side's agenda :-

To help Peoples' Republic of China's Remminbei RMB become an internationally convertible currency and widely circulated in the world markets. Bankers in Hong Kong and other countries can help China by lobbying in their countries for this aim.

All political parties in Hong Kong should join hands together to plan for a peaceful/cooperative political discussion platform to work for a better future for Hong Kong. Joint conferences to be held twice a year to settle major differences and work for better under- standing amongst the parties.

To plan and ecourage the authorities in Hong Kong and Shenzhen to form ties as sister cities (like Vancouver and Seattle in America). To simplify and and speed up the immigration and customs' procedure at the border crossing for a farsighted, bold reform to this problem when we stride across the 21st century milestone.

To invest in more and more joint venture enterprises in China with cities and counties along the Pearl River Delta area. More conferences to be held on economic coordination across the border on a regular basis.

A 'Hong Kong China Friendship Association' to be formed by the entrepreneurs, industrialists in Hong Kong for the free exchange of views in promoting the regional economy.

In case of any disputes on account of having different conception on some issues between the two countries, they should not be disputed openly. Try to invite a . mediator to solve the problems or arrive at a workable solution through negotiation rather than by open quarrel. Place all matters of dispute squarely on the conference table is the best way in achieving
