Sunday Times article on ceremonial dress for

Chris Patten.

Having consulted widely, Chris Patten has decided

that he will not wear ceremonial dress when he takes over

as Governor of Hong Kong. Consequently no order for the uniform has been placed. I am sure Mr Wright will be pleased to learn of this small saving.
