RENDITION AGREEMENTS WITH GUANGDONG
1. I have seen press reports that following Maria Tam's visit to Shenzhen the PSB there are saying that "relevant talks" (ie talks relevant to a rendition agreement) are under way. I also note that other press comment has broadly welcomed this. I should be grateful to know what is at present the situation. I assume that no-one has been negotiating such an agreement with the Chinese. Have you ben giving any thought to when such negotiations might be initiated? It strikes me that the concern over the upsurge of violent cross border crime might be an opportunity to begin.
