I attach Hong Kong telno 2678 and Mrs Liu's faxed letter of 11 November concerning the latest list of laws which Hong Kong is willing to let lapse in 1997. I would be grateful for any comments you may have on these items or on the short draft speaking note.

Personally speaking I will be sad to see the demise of the Colonial Bishops Act 1853 but that's progress I suppose.
