the Societies Notification Officer in

accordance with section 5;

"performance of functions" includes the exercise

of powers and the performance of duties; "Societies Notification officer" means the

Societies Notification officer and any

assistant societies notification officer

appointed in accordance with the provisions

of section 3;

"unnotified society" means a society the

establishment of which has not been

notified to the Societies Notification

officer in accordance with section 5.".

Section 2 (2) is amended by repealing "Subject to

subsection (2A), the" and substituting "The".

(3) Section 2 (2A) is repealed.

Appointment of Registrar of Societies

Section 3 is amended by repealing "Registrar of Societies" and "assistant registrars of societies" and substituting "Societies Notification Officer" and "assistant societies notification

officers" respectively.

Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9A, 9B, 10, 11 and 12 are repealed and
