Section 30 is amended
(a) by adding after subsection (1)
" (1A) Where a person who is the subject of
an investigation in respect of an offence
alleged or suspected to have been committed by
his under this ordinance has been arrested in
connection with such offence, subsection (1)
shall not apply as regards the disclosure of
details of the investigation or the identity of
the person."; and
in subsection (2) (e) by repealing "under section 13".
This
Explanatory Memorandum
makes various amendments to the Prevention of Bribery
rdinance to remove possible conflicts with the Hong Kong Bill of
ights Ordinance 1991 (E9 OF 1991).
Clause 2 repeals the provision which enables an investigating
