These Agencies are responsible on the Commission's behalf for the maintenance of the Commonwealth war cemeteries, graves and memorials in their respective countries and (except in the case of Gibraltar) the cost of this work is borne by their governments. A similar arrangement exists in Nigeria but no formal Agency has been established.
