CM :
Hong Kong Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office presents its compliments to the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary and has the honour to refer to their note of 29 April concerning the establishment of air services between Hungary and Hong Kong.
As requested by the Embassy, Hong Kong Department have forwarded the text of the draft Air Services Agreement and
the proposal for related negotiations to the Government of
Hong Kong, who have given the matter careful consideration.
In the light of the existing and foreseeable demand for air service links between Hong Kong and Hungary, however, the government of Hong Kong have concluded that sufficient justification does not exist at present for the negotiation
of such an agreement, or for experts to meet.
They are nevertheless prepared to keep the matter under
review in the light of changing market requirements and of any additional information that the Hungarian authorities
may be able to provide in that regard.
Hong Kong Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the
Embassy of the Republic of Hungary the assurance of its
highest consideration.
