HONG KONG/NORWAY AIR SERVICES AGREEMENT

1. According to a press release issued by the Norwegian MFA, Norway will shortly sign an air services agreement with Hong Kong. Similar agreements are to be signed with Sweden and Denmark (the other "SAS countries"). The agreement has been in provisional application since 14 April 1992 and will be signed formally as soon as the Hong Kong government is in a position to do so, probably around the New Year. The press release gives no details of the agreement other than to say it covers the rights for the operation of air services between Norway and Hong Kong and the conditions and procedures the airlines designated by the two parties must follow.
