Notifications by Contracting Governments

I refer to this morning's telecon (Miss Pearce/Mr. Hall) on this subject.

In accordance with Article III of SOLAS 1974, Article 26 of the Load Lines Convention 1966 and Article II of MARPOL 73/78, Contracting Governments are required to communicate and deposit with the Organization:

(b)

(c)

text of laws, orders, regulations, etc;

a list of non-governmental agencies authorised to act on its behalf;

specimens of certificates.

Attached is a list of legislation which gives effect in Hong Kong to the SOLAS, MARPOL and Load Lines Conventions. I have not included copies of the actual legislation since these are very voluminous and also subject to amendment. Copies can however be provided should you consider this necessary.
