The US Administration found these measures inadequate as substantial trade barriers would still exist.

Claims by the United States regarding infringement were mainly related to copyrights for computer software and patents for US pharmaceutical and chemical products. Probably in the light of this, a committee was recently established under the State Council for the formulation and enforcement of laws involving intellectual property.
