HKSAR after 30 June 1997.

The practical mechanism to

application after 1 July 1997 of the

international rights and obligations affecting Hong Kong

and arising from the Nice Constitution and Convention

should be discussed in due course. In the opinion of the

British side the best method for securing this objective would be as described in paragraph 7 of the paper handed to

the Chinese side on 15 March 1989.
