1. I attach a copy of Hong Kong telno 1465 which contains draft answers to questions put to the British side by the Chinese side on 4 May.

2. The draft answers seem to me to be satisfactory. As HKG have asked for our comments preferably before the next IRO sub-group meeting on 8 June, I would be grateful for any comments you may have by cop 4 June.
