The United Kingdom ratified the Convention on

April 1959 and extended it to Hong Kong on 19 March 1962

(Reference at Annex B). On extension, the United Kingdom

made а number of interpretative declarations and entered a

reservation (the texts of which are at Annex C). Under

Article 35 the Convention is open to accession by any State

Member of the United Nations,
