UN CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD: HONG KONG

1. I attach a final text of the reservations to be entered when the UK's ratification of the Convention is extended to Hong Kong.

2.

I have included as (e) and (f) two reservations which were made on behalf of the UK but which may not be required by Hong Kong as they were not mentioned in Hong Kong's telno 174. I should be grateful if you would ask Hong Kong to confirm that these reservations are not required and, if so, Hong Kong can delete them from the text which they pass to the Chinese.
