3. Cabinet Office advise that, as the Commons may not formally reconvene its Scrutiny Committee in time to consider these documents before signature at the 15 June FAC, we should forewarn the Committee of our intention to agree to the proposal, if necessary without Commons scrutiny. (The letter should be simply be addressed to the Chairman, Select Committee on European Legislation.) The Lords' Committee should be able to clear the proposals in good time.
