Compendium (One removable hard disk + 12 x 5 cm folders)

The Compendium is a computerised records system
containing all significant future-related records relevant
to the period since the Joint Declaration was initialled in
September 1984. Information stored in the system can be
easily retrieved.

The Compendium comprises in chronological order
records from two main sources:

meetings); and
Future-related statements made by senior
British and Chinese officials (e.g. the CS

addition to the computerised records, we have
folders of hard copies of the Compendium. As at 16
1992, the computerised compendium covers exchanges
September 1984 to March 1991 and the hard copies cover
period September 1984 to November 1991. The Compendium
is kept under constant updating.
