INSTALLATION OF A COPY OF THE HONG KONG GOVERNMENT "COMPENDIUM"

1. The Hong Kong Government have a copy of all exchanges between HMG and the Chinese government over the future of Hong Kong installed on a database called the Compendium. We have a frequent requirement to advise Ministers on the implications of previous exchanges. We would therefore wish to have a copy of this system, ourselves.

2. I enclose copies of letters from HKG explaining how their system works. I also attach a completed form IOC 2. I should be grateful to know if you require any further information.
