response,

Hong Kong

intends to contribute US$ 3 million to the ADF VI, subject to the provision of necessary funds by the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council. As before, Hong Kong will arrange with the Bank for the amount to be fully paid up by 30 June 1997.

The Administration is now preparing a submission to the Committee of the Legislative Council to seek financial

authority for the contribution.
