Review

In accordance with the principle expressed in Chapter V, Regulation 6 (e of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1948, the present Agreement shall be reviewed at intervals not exceeding three years with a view to determining whether amendment thereof is desirable.

ARTICLE 9

Entry into Force

The present Agreement shall enter into force on the date on which it shall have been signed on behalf of all the Governments named in the preamble to the Agreement.() It shall be operative beginning with the ice season of 1955, for which bills will be rendered in 1956.

ARTICLE 10

New Contributors

Whenever it is evident that the shipping of a country, the Government of which is not a party to the present Agreement, is benefiting in an appreciable degree from the services of the Ice Patrol the Government of the United States of America shall so inform the other Governments parties to the Agreement. If no objection is raised by any of those Governments, the Government of the United States of America shall extend an invitation to the Government of such country to accept the Agreement.

Acceptance shall be effected by transmitting to the Government of the United States of America an appropriate notification in writing. The notifica- tion of acceptance of the Agreement shall enter into force on the date on which it is received by the Government of the United States of America and shall be operative with respect to bills rendered for the ice season of the year in which the notification has been received.

The Government of the United States of America shall notify all parties to the Agreement of the receipt of any such notification of acceptance.

ARTICLE 11 Denunciation

Denunciation of the present Agreement shall be governed by the provisions of Chapter V, Regulation 6 (b), of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1948.
