I should record that shortly after the Governor' S arrival I discussed with him the future of the PA's Office.

You may remember that I wrote a brief on this for him before he arrived (copy enclosed for ease of reference). Governor has said that he is broadly content with the conclusions reached in 1989, although he will wish to discuss the 1995 adjustments in more detail with my successor.
