I have received a reply to my letter of 3 July to the Attorney General's Office in Hong Kong about the SK Tang Bequest.

Hong Kong have written to say that our request for the Attorney General to authorise a direction under the Sign Manual should be addressed to Attorney General in the UK. I enclose a copy of Hong Kong's Letter and should be grateful for your advice before I contact the Treasury Solicitor.

I would be grateful for as early a reply as possible so that we can keep this matter moving.
