Thank you for your letter of 25 August. It was helpful to have your reassurance about the likely forward financial state of the late Sir Shiu-kin Tang's Bequest, and that on present calculations the Bequest proceeds (two-thirds of the interest) should cover the additional contribution from the British Government's side of £100,000 pa for the three years 1993/94 to 1995/96.

I confirm that we are content with the proposed draft press release. I shall look forward to receiving a copy of the final text.
