UK/HK SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Thank you for your minute of 30 October covering a draft letter to Mr John Chan on the above scheme, and my apologies for the delay in replying.

2.

As I explained, we have made only one small amendment to your draft and are content with the proposals made by Mr Chan in his letter.

3.

On the more vexed questions of the continuation of the scheme and the placing of the bequest post-1997, we still await news from the Charity Commissioners. We shall continue to press them for their advice.
