APS/PUS's minute of 5 June. The PUS may like to see a copy of the speech which the President of the Board of Trade

will give at this dinner, together with the latest version

of the guest list. We contributed to the speech.

2. The PUS also may be interested to know that Hong Kong Land, the Jardine Matheson property subsidiary, have recently sold a piece of prime Hong Kong real estate in Central district to a Chinese-led consortium for HK $3.8bn

(£270m). The governments of Nanhai and Foshan, and the city of Zhongshan, all in Guangdong province, will pay HK $3.23bn towards the office block. Mr Keswick should be well pleased with the deal, which Hong Kong Land say will allow them to participate in further property development in Hong Kong.
