I discussed figures with staff from Treasurer's Department, Situation is as follows:

Figures in Annual Report 1990 of US$120,613,000 were calculated on basis of exchange rate $/SDR of 1.42265 as of 31 December 1990

Number of shares is correctly stated with 8,478 callable shares The figure or US$95,990,000 as computation of the dollar values auring conclusion of GCI 1 and 2 or GCI 3 is not the one used by the Bank and does not reflect the present liabilities of Hong Kong

Callable capital/Hong Kong liabilities as of 31 December 1991 would be US$121,270,000 on basis of exchange rate $/SDR of 1.43043

It seems that VP Schulz had met Mr. Macleod, Financial Secretary of Hong Kong Government, in early November 1991, who asked him whether HK ADF vi payments could be advanced to a date before 1997. VP Schulz told him that there was no problem with this.
