About this time last year, our predecessors corresponded about inviting a US delegation to visit Hong Kong to review the export licensing system there. This was done and a US Strategic Trade Control delegation visited Hong Kong on 29-30 July 1991. The Delegation was led by Robert L Price, State. with him were:

Linda Gregus, State

Deborah Lehr, Commerce

David Schlechty, Commerce

Anstruther Davidson, Commerce

Michael P Strutzel, Defense

James Swanson, Defense

Jack Kelley, US Customs

Tom Adams, US Customs

We have now received a request from Kevin Ho, Assistant Director General, Hong Kong Trade Department, to invite an American delegation to visit again for two or three days, in the week beginning 11 May, if possible. I should be grateful if you would approach Robert Price with that proposal as I understand that it is the practice for your Department to handle such matters.
