You asked for a steer on which of the two weeks for Mr. Patten's visit to London would best suit the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister would be grateful if Mr. Patten could avoid the week of 9 November and, instead, come here in the week beginning 16 November. The Prime Minister would like to give a working lunch for Mr. Patten. He hopes the Foreign Secretary can also be there. I should be grateful if you could liaise with Sandra Phillips to find a date.
