This Bill follows the Middle East Finance International Limited (Transfer of

of Undertaking) Bill 1991 which was approved by your office in March 1991. The latter Bill has lapsed because the Middle East Bank Limited is now substituted by the Emirates Bank International Limited as the transferee of the undertaking of the Middle East Finance International Limited.
