6. Clause XX1 (2) heading and sub-paragraph

(a) of the principal Instructions are revoked and replaced by the following heading and sub-paragraph (a):-

"(2) In the absence of the President from a meeting of the Legislative Council there shall preside at that meeting

(a) the Deputy President who shall be elected by the Members of the Council excluding the ex officio Members, from amongst their number; or ".

7. Clause XX1 (3) and (4) of the principal Instructions are revoked and replaced by the following paragraphs (3) and (4):-

"(3) For the avoidance of doubt, a reference to "the Member presiding" is to the President, Deputy President or the senior ex officio Member present as the case may be.

(4) The Governor, acting in his discretion, shall have the right of addressing the Legislative Council at any time when he shall think fit, including during a special sitting.

8.

Clause XX11 of the principal

Instructions is amended by deleting the words "the Governor or ".
