committee should be based on the proposals in the Basic Law.
Appointed members in DB/MCs should be phased out gradually.
Retail Management Association (11.12.92)
Instead of giving every worker within the new FCs a vote, FC elections should be conducted in 2 similar format to the method by which the representatives from the existing twenty one FCs are elected.
Civic Association (6.11.92 and 12.12.92)
Election
Committee should have 800 members. Half of the members should be DB Members; they will elect five LegCo members. The other 400 EC Members will follow the provision in the BL for the second EC (1999). They will elect a further five LegCo Members.
The proposed "Community, Social and Personal Services" constituency should be restricted to a "Recreation and Culture" constituency to highlight the importance with which culture and recreation are widely regarded within the community.
For the remaining proposed new FCs, the electorate to be restricted to:
(1) all directors and executives of companies registered under the Companies Ordinance;
