Many thanks for your letters of 25/August with the notes of the meeting on 20 August and for the copies of the papers discussed at that meeting. Once again all are models of clarity and conciseness.

2. I am sorry that I wrongly addressed my letters to Peter Lai, rather than to you as secretary of the working group.

What we do was a little confused about who was doing what. know here is that all of you in CAB have been working very hard over past weeks - and that the pressure is continuing.

Peter Ricketts returns to the Office on 1 September and will look forward to seeing you when he is in Hong Kong the following week.
