Under the terms of the "Compensation Scheme for Certain Pensionable Officers" which has been approved by the Governor in Council on 30 June 1987, you have the authority

to -

(a) permit an officer who has been

superseded for promotion in pursuance

of the localisation policy to retire;

(b) permit an officer to retire where

circumstances

exist which make it

unreasonable for him to continue his

service;

(c)

direct an officer to retire in the

interest of localisation;

(d) direct an officer to retire to

facilitate constitutional change; and
