Authority for retirement : Limited Compensation Scheme (LCS)
Olvilliams HKD 219
To date 16 officers have been directed to retire early on localisation grounds under the provisions of the They have all been in similar circumstances to the Broadley case (e.g. Administrative Officers being retired at 57 instead of 60 under the New Pension Scheme or Police and Correctional Services officers going at 54 or 55 instead of 57).
The difference between these other officers and Mr. Broadley is that all of them actually welcomed the opportunity to go а few years early with compensation. These were therefore cases of being directed to retire, but agreed by mutual consent. Mr. Broadley however objected. He said he would prefer to serve until 60.
am sending the annexes you requested by bag as they are somewhat bulky. In any event and irrespective of the Broadley case we need such approval.
I suggest that what we need is the Secretary of State's formal approval for our LCS. I should be grateful if this could be done as early as possible.
You
