RETIREMENT
93. (1) In the case of an officer in Hong Kong, including an officer
selected for appointment by the Secretary of State or enrolled in Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service by the Secretary of State, the
Governor of Hong Kong may retire the officer for the following
reasons:
(a) if circumstances exist, which in the opinion of the Governor, make it unreasonable or undesirable for the officer to continue in
the Service;
(b) in the interest of localisation;
(c) to facilitate constitutional change;
(d) In the interest of the development of the public service.
(2) The Governor may delegate to any public officer the power conferred on him by paragraph 1 of this regulation.
