You asked whether it would be possible for an officer who was found suitable to transfer to the Diplomatic Service with a mixed service HMOCS/Diplomatic Service pension. The regulations provide that any officer transferring from HMOCS would have to retire from that Service and start afresh on new pensionable terms. However, Mr Long in our Personnel Services Department will contact Michael Waters to discuss the pension details with him as the position after such transfers can be complex.
Our Personnel Management Department have already received applications from HMOCS officers for posts in other Dependent Territories that will become vacant during 1993 and are giving them their full attention.
