HONG KONG HMOCS ISSUES: JUDICIAL OFFICERS

Problem

Whether to allow judicial officers in Hong Kong who were

first appointed after 28 March 1985 to enrol as members of

HMOCS.

Recommendation

2.

That:

(i) We should allow judges and judicial officers

appointed before 15 April 1992, to apply to enrol in HMOCS up to 31 August 1992, provided they meet all other criteria satisfactorily;

(ii) We should issue a statement setting out this decision.
