dependent child who ceases to be eligible for passages in the 12-month period in which annual leave is taken will be eligible for a return leave passage provided the homeward leg of the annual leave passage is taken before the child becomes ineligible for passages. Notwithstanding the above, a dependent child who ceases to be eligible for passages in the last 12-month period of the officer's agreement will not be eligible for a return annual leave passage, but he/she will be eligible for an "assisted final homeward passage (see paragraph 9.5.2).
