Transfer of Agreement Officers
to the Permanent Establishment
As set out in CSR 121(1)-(3), an agreement officer who satisfies the conditions laid down in the regulation may apply for transfer to the permanent establis ment. CSR 121(4) provides that on transfer to the permanent establishment, an officer may augment his pensionable service by buying back
by buying back his previous agreement service through refund of gratuity payments with interest.
The officer may elect to buy back e.ther the entire period of his previous service in one go or the service of any full tour of agreement prior to the date of his transier

AS a result of an audit revie' on the arrangem ir ts for transfer to the permanent establishment, it has been agreed with the Director of Audit that

(b) the 12-month time limit referred to in para 2(b) above should be stipulated in the letter. to the officer conveying approval for transfer, co the permanent establishment.
