Dear Sir,

Our Association feels compelled to write to you following the recent visit to Hong Kong by Mr. Alastair Goodlad. Once again no news was forth coming on the range of Issues that have been raised with HMG, some of which were first raised as far back as 1984!
2. As the deadline for the new pension scheme approaches, we are again working against the dock. This is causing frustration and anger amongst our membership. In addition, concern has been expressed to us that in view of the composition of your committee the interests of younger individuals (the majority of whom are Police Officers) are not being advanced. It is difficult for our Association to assess the validity of these assertions. We are however exasperated that no progress has been made
3. It is our view that HMG has explated the current situation and is not giving our concerns prompt attention. The HMOCS Association has done sterling work, yet it must be agreed that matters have not advanced. We are now firmly of the view that a more strident approach is necessary if we are to achieve our objectives.
4.
We should be grateful for your comments.
Yours faithfully,
milt
